Guten tag!

<p>Welcome to our travel blog! My name is Jay and my wife is Christina. Before we got married, we promised each other that we would go on a trip around the world someday. One year passed, two years passed, three years passed…And so it came down to the cold truth. It’s now or never. Will we leave all we know in good old San Diego to satisfy our insatiable appetite of wanderlust? Yes, yes we will. We’ve bought our tickets, the date is set, and we’re down to three months before leaving.</p>
<p>In this blog, our quest is to document our travels in hopes of inspiring our family and friends to travel themselves or to meet us somewhere on the road. In the event that you happen to stumble upon this blog and are inspired to travel, you too are welcome.</p>
<p>Munich, Germany will be one of the final destinations of our trip. The city holds a special place in my heart. In college, I spent a year in Munich as part of a study-abroad program. It was an experience that I will remember for as long as I live. I found my love of traveling and photography, I met wonderful people, learned interesting things, ate some tasty food, and of course, drank some of the most delicious and satisfying beers I have ever had. Which brings us to the reason why we decided on the name for this blog…</p>
<p>In 2010, we will be in Munich to partake in one of the biggest and best annual festivals ever to have been celebrated in human history…Oktoberfest! Don’t be fooled by the name though, it takes place primarily in the end of September. Now we invite you to pack your bags, fly to Deutschland, make your way to Theresienwiese, and sit at a table in a Bierzelt. Let’s share a beer and come meet us in Munich!</p>
